Transformaing lives after spinal cord injury

City Dinner

"It was a pleasure to be there and I had a fantastic evening."

— Lewis Moody, decorated Lion and Rugby World Cup winner

Every eight hours someone will become permanently paralysed, and they need our support. We provide vital services that give people practical skills and help rebuild their independence after a devastating spinal cord injury. Help Back Up continue providing these life changing services by bringing along a table of colleagues, friends and family to our prestigious City Dinner. Enjoy an unforgettable night in a spectacular venue, whilst raising important funds to help continue our work.

This year we are delighted to announce that Jonny Wilkes will be our special guest entertainer, co-founder of Soccer Aid (ITV) and best friends with musician Robbie Williams. Jonny is a well-known face in the entertainment industry, playing the lead in many West End musicals including Chicago and Grease, as well as presenting TV shows such as You've Been Framed and This Morning.

Where: Merchant Taylors' Hall, 30 Threadneedle Street, EC2R 8JB

When: 4th May 2017

Time: 6:30pm-12am (bar opens from 5:30pm)

Dress code: black tie

Attracting guests from a wide range of City firms within the banking, insurance and legal sector, the 2016 City Dinner was a great success, raising an incredible £130,000 which has helped Back Up to continue transforming the lives of people with spinal cord injury. Past guests have included rugby union stars Ben Cohen, Lewis Moody and James Haskell, as well as celebrity patissier Eric Lanlard, and Strictly Come Dancing star Kristina Rihanoff.
